The Denver Broncos are one of the most intriguing teams in the NFL because of their quarterback situation.

They made a couple of moves at the position after cutting former quarterback Russell Wilson loose, including trading for former first-round pick Zach Wilson and drafting rookie Bo Nix in the first round.

Veteran Jarrett Stidham is also in the fold on Sean Payton’s squad.

Nix is the X-factor heading into camp because he is a very talented, confident player after starting a record 61 games in college.

Some of his teammates are starting to see what stands out about him as the preseason heads into its second week of games.

“He’s very composed. He understands the offense very well…He’s taking command of the huddle…He’s coming in with that mojo, that swagger,” All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II recently said on Up & Adams.

“I just remember the first day of OTAs he made a NO-LOOK pass and everybody was like… ok, he’s coming in with that MOJO, that swagger.” @BoNix10 @heykayadams @Broncos #BroncosCountry pic.twitter.com/Cl22ABX2np

Again, Nix is seemingly one of the more experienced rookie quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.

The 24-year-old spent five years in college (three at Auburn, two at Oregon) and won 43 games.

Very similar to another former quarterback of Sean Payton’s in Drew Brees, who had a long college career at Purdue, Nix has seen an awful lot in his football career.

He has played in NFL-style offenses and faced off against NFL-style defenses.

Now in Denver, the former Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year is making a strong impression with his teammates and coaches.

If he ends up getting the starting job, it may not be a surprise to see him find success at Mile High.
