There are several protocols NFL teams need to follow ahead of the draft.

One of the most important is the strict limit of 30 players teams can bring into their building.

These are called top 30 visits, as teams can only bring 30 prospects in on an individual basis.

This allows teams to have a more personal experience with these players, trying to get to know them while determining if they’ll be a good fit for their roster.

Most teams in the league try to take advantage of all 30 visits, evidenced by the Denver Broncos’ recent visit with receiver prospect David White, as reporter Mike Klis recently highlighted.

Western Carolina WR David White had top 30 visit with Broncos this week per source. White had 34 catches-519 yds-6 TDs last season, then impressed at Hula Bowl and East-West Shrine All Star games. Played two years at Valdosta State, then 2 years at Western Carolina. #9sports

The Broncos are in need of a few receivers to join their team, with Tim Patrick’s health being questionable and Jerry Jeudy being traded during the offseason.

White has started to gain more traction around the league, even though he played at a smaller school in Western Carolina.

However, some of the best players in NFL history have come from non-traditional schools, which means that teams can’t count out a player from a small school, especially if their prospect profile is impressive.

Whether he goes to the Broncos or another team, it will be interesting to see where White ends up.

This year’s draft has several elite wide receiver prospects, as most analysts project there will be at least six taken in the first round.

White’s stock could be pushed down as a result of the class being top-heavy, but if the Broncos like what they see during the visit, they could get White as a potential late-round steal.
