The Denver Broncos have a new starting quarterback.

As great a signal-caller as John Elway was, he certainly struggled to evaluate players in his position.

Since Peyton Manning retired, the Broncos have had 13 different starting quarterbacks.

Now, with George Paton as the decision-maker, they hope that Bo Nix will finally put an end to their struggles.

Notably, team owner Greg Penner admitted to being very impressed with what he’s seen from him thus far (Via Zac Stevens).

He’s a fan of him dating back to college, and he thinks he did a very solid job in the two preseason contests he played.

Penner also claimed that he gave him a call when he found out that he would be their starting quarterback, and while he knows there will be growing pains and a learning curve along the way, he wanted him to know that the organization would stand by him and support him through it all.

The Broncos might need some time before getting back to their winning ways.

HC Sean Payton is a proven winner, and he seems to be very excited about getting to work with Nix.

And while he might not be as talented as, say, Jayden Daniels or Caleb Williams, he’s going to play in a QB-friendly system that’s going to make life quite easy for him right out of the gate.
