Almost everything that could’ve gone wrong went wrong for the Denver Broncos last season.

That includes the torn ACL star RB Javonte Williams suffered just four weeks into the season.

Fortunately for him, he’s expected to be back on the field for the start of training camp, and according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, he feels rejuvenated and ‘ready to go’ already.

The former second-round pick was quite impressive in his rookie season and was expected to be the team’s lead back in 2022 as well.

HC Sean Payton reportedly still expects him to carry most of the load going forward, and he sounded optimistic about the possibility of him being ready for training camp.

The Broncos didn’t use any of their draft picks to get him any sort of competition and have been mostly away from rumors regarding the many veteran players at that position still unsigned.

Williams’ career got off to a strong start, rushing for 903 yards in his rookie season and adding 204 yards in the following season before suffering that injury.

He’s a physical tackle-breaker who will never shy away from contact, and that kind of hardnosed mentality is the same he’s using to get back on the field to try and help his team bounce back from a very disappointing season.

2023 will be a bit of a clean slate for the team in hoping Russell Wilson will look more like the perennial MVP candidate he’s always been, and Williams could play a key role in that.
