The NBA world has been paying a lot of attention to Bronny James for years, but especially recently.

His output at the NBA draft combine has turned a lot of heads and improved his standing among incoming league rookies.

With that has come more time with the press, including a fun chat with Bleacher Report.

James was asked which current NBA player he would challenge in a game of one-on-one basketball.

James said that he’d battle against his father, LeBron, but wouldn’t comment on who would win.

Following that tidbit, James also revealed that if he ever has a son, he will definitely not name him LeBron James III.

The idea of James and his father playing against each other on the court is wildly exciting for NBA fans.

And the good news is that there is a chance that these two will be competing in only a few months.

For a long time, it looked like the Los Angeles Lakers would acquire James in the upcoming draft but his recent performances at the combine have been impressive and now a few other teams are thinking of signing him.

That means that the chance of James playing on the same team as his father is dwindling by the day.

But this is a sign that James is showing promise, which means he could earn more time on the court during his rookie year.

Therefore, there is a high probability that James and his dad will go toe-to-toe in the 2024–25 season.

It might not be a one-on-one, but it would be a must-see moment for basketball fans.

As for who would win in a competition, almost everyone agrees that LeBron would have a huge advantage over his promising young son.
