The Cleveland Browns started off the week with some mixed news.
On the one hand, not having Nick Chubb, although expected, was still disappointing.
On the other hand, they will be getting a key piece of their offensive line back.
According to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jack Conklin is expected to be activated off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list after passing his physical on Monday.

The All-Pro offensive tackle was dealing with an ACL and MCL injury, and he could be poised to start right out of the gate in the season opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
Reports state that LT Jedrick Willis Jr. could also be activated off PUP before Tuesday’s deadline.
CB Greg Newsome II underwent surgery to repair his hamstring shortly before the start of training camp, and he should also be made available.
Safety D’Anthony Bell, who’s been out with an injured shin, is also a strong candidate to be removed from PUP and placed on the 53-man roster at any moment now.
On the downside, their running backs corps will be down two key men in veterans Nick Chubb and Nyheim Hines.
They’re both recovering from major knee surgeries.
