The Cleveland Browns seemingly have two solid wide receivers ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Amari Cooper has been an absolute stud since he arrived in Cleveland, and he’s been arguably their best offensive player.
That’s despite having a subpar quarterback situation.
Pairing him with Jerry Jeudy seemed to address a big need for another wideout.
That’s why Browns insider Tony Grossi can’t understand why they reportedly want to trade for Brandon Aiyuk.
Talking to Tony Rizzo on ESPN Cleveland, he argued that the team shouldn’t get too carried away with the future, as their Super Bowl window is open now, and as such, they shouldn’t part ways with Cooper.

Per Grossi, Cooper has already proved that he can be a WR1.
That makes perfect sense, nonetheless, as Rizzo pointed out, the fact that the Browns didn’t lock Cooper up with a long-term deal this offseason proves that they might not be sold on him as a long-term solution.
Cooper isn’t getting any younger, so that could make sense, and Aiyuk is fresh off an All-Pro campaign.
All teams must exhaust all avenues to get better, especially those who seem to be on the verge of Super Bowl contention.
Then again, you should never fix what isn’t broken, and Cooper has been very efficient for this organization.
This is a ruthless business, and teams often deal with the players as if they were disposable.
Whether the Browns will take that approach with the former Dallas Cowboy remains to be seen.
