The Cleveland Browns are entering a make-or-break season.
GM Andrew Berry and HC Kevin Stefanski have most definitely earned the benefit of the doubt.
They’ve put together a great team with a Super Bowl-caliber defense.
They’re well-coached on special teams, and they even added more firepower to the offense.
Nevertheless, there are still plenty of doubts about them, or more specifically, about Deshaun Watson.
It’s reached a point where even some Browns fans seem to be actively rooting against the team because of him.
That’s why Tony Rizzo of ESPN Cleveland put them on blast, stating that they would rather be right about this being the worst trade in NFL history over the team actually doing good.

He’s got a valid point.
You may or may not like Deshaun Watson because of his accusations, and you may feel the Browns made a bad move by getting him.
But from that to rooting against the team, that’s a huge stretch.
The Browns have been a bottom-feeding team for most of it’s history, and now that they could legitimately have a shot at contention, the fans should be all rooting for them and pulling together.
Granted, a bad season would most likely put an end to Watson’s tenure in Cleveland, and that could end up being for the greater good of the organization.
But at the end of the day, there should be no joy in watching your team struggle just because you want your take to be right or accurate.
