The Oakland Athletics will more than likely soon be headed to Las Vegas.

Fans in Oakland have grown restless with the state of the franchise and owner John Fisher.

The situation is obviously very public, meaning most around the game have an understanding of what is taking place.

Bryce Harper is a native of Las Vegas and understands what is happening.

The Philadelphia Phillies star and former National League MVP recently offered his condolences to the Oakland fanbase over the situation, saying he wishes an expansion team could have been added to Las Vegas instead of the A’s.

He then followed by saying that he doesn’t see the A’s as a Las Vegas team, but rather as an Oakland team.

Bob Nightengale provided Harper’s quote on Twitter.

“I see the A’s as Oakland.
“I don’t see them as Vegas.’’ https://t.co/gdzYb8MnXJ

Harper clearly understands what the fans in Oakland are going through.

A’s fans are frustrated by Fisher and his complacence, as well as the fact that the team is likely headed to Las Vegas.

It’s a significant blow for the City of Oakland.

But in Harper’s mind, the A’s are not the Las Vegas A’s.

The veteran slugger and former MVP sees them as the Oakland A’s.

Oakland has the second-worst record in all of baseball despite a recent stretch which saw them win seven consecutive games and become the first ballclub since 1895 to have such as streak even with a winning percentage under .200.

But Harper made his thoughts on the situation clear, and understands what the fans in Oakland are currently feeling at the moment.
