The Philadelphia Phillies have one of the best players in baseball in Bryce Harper.

He is a two-time NL MVP and has been nothing but amazing in his Phillies career.

Likewise, he is one of few active players who seem destined for the Hall of Fame.

Harper continues to put up huge numbers year in and year out.

His longevity in the league has allowed him to achieve some impressive career stats.

According to SportsCenter, Harper is one of six active players with 1,500 hits and 300 home runs in his first 12 seasons.

Harper joins this list with the likes of Miguel Cabrera, Mike Trout, Nolan Arenado, Paul Goldschmidt, and Manny Machado.

You could make the argument that all those players have a chance at the Hall of Fame.

If not for having to recover from Tommy John surgery, Harper would have cracked this list much earlier in the season.

The Phillies star continues to show off his dominance every year.

He has even done so while learning to play a new position.

Harper has been tasked with playing first base this year.

That is to help the recovery of his arm and not ask him to throw as much in the outfield.

The Phillies are in a fight for the top Wild Card in the NL playoffs.

So, they will need Harper in the lineup as much as possible to help fend off the Chicago Cubs.

Once you get into the playoffs anything can happen.

The Phillies are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle once more.
