The Philadelphia Phillies are amid an intense playoff race over the final few weeks of the regular season.

They currently sit in first place in the NL Wild Card, but the Chicago Cubs are right on their heels.

Despite having a lot to play for the Phillies still have time to celebrate their star player.

Two-time NL MVP Bryce Harper recorded his 1,500th hit on Tuesday.

He did it in style by hitting a home run over the right-center field wall and into the Phillies bullpen.

Harper has been on a tear of late, and he has gotten his power stroke back.

Over the past 30 games, Harper is hitting .305 with 10 home runs and 24 RBI.

He missed the first month of the season recovering from Tommy John surgery.

But he seems to be back to his old self at the perfect time.

Harper continues to add to his Hall-of-Fame career by reaching more milestones.

Of his 1,501 career hits, 302 of them have been home runs.

He also has an impressive career batting average of .281.

The Phillies will go as Harper goes in the playoffs.

Last season he was magical in the postseason, which helped lead the Phillies to the Fall Classic.

But, can this team catch lightning in a bottle once more?

It will be tough to go from the Wild Card to the World Series in back-to-back years.

Yet, that is exactly what the Phillies will need to do.
