The Milwaukee Bucks made a big change.

Not many teams would fire their coach midway through the season despite being just 3.5 games behind the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Nonetheless, their record could be somewhat deceiving, and they had struggled against winning teams.

Adrian Griffin had lost control of his locker room, and the front office thought it was better to just cut the cord now instead of later.

However, it seems like they’re not done making moves yet.

According to a report by Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Bucks are looking forward to pairing Cam Payne and Patt Connaughton to try to upgrade their roster ahead of the trade deadline (via NBA Central).

The Bucks entered the season projected to be one of the powerhouses in the Eastern Conference, and even though one could think they are because of their record, that’s not the case.

Their defense took a massive dip without Jrue Holiday, and they had been one of the top defensive teams in the league during Mike Budenholzer’s tenure.

On top of that, it just feels like they haven’t been able to get the most out of the pairing of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Lillard’s defense — or lack thereof — has been a talking point all season long, and both his scoring numbers and efficiency have plummeted since leaving the Portland Trail Blazers.

Perhaps they could look to solve some of their defensive woes with this move, although there aren’t many available players who could help them in that regard.
