During the NBA offseason last year, the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks were the most aggressive teams in the Eastern Conference, making some game-changing moves to improve their rosters.
The Celtics brought in veterans Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, while the Bucks added Damian Lillard to pair with fellow superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Ultimately, the Celtics turned out to be the team that made the right moves as Boston dominated the competition throughout the regular season and carried that over to the NBA playoffs, where they ended up cruising to a championship, which was the team’s 18th, setting a new league record in breaking a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Unfortunately for Milwaukee, the Bucks struggled to put it together during the regular season and were ravaged by injuries in the postseason, resulting in a disappointing end to the 2023-24 campaign under head coach Doc Rivers.
Although the Bucks had a rough finish, they seem to be making the right moves this summer to upgrade their roster, now agreeing to a one-year deal with guard Gary Trent Jr., according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Along with adding Trent on Tuesday, the Bucks also recently brought on veteran shooter Taurean Prince, adding to a talented core that should complement Antetokounmpo and Lillard next season.
The Celtics are still the team to beat in the East, but there’s definitely some stiff competition with the Bucks, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers all upgrading their rosters this offseason.
