The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the most disappointing teams in the league last season.
Of course, they could only do so much in the playoffs, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard both hurt.
However, even before that, there were already plenty of doubts about their ability to go the distance.
They fired Adrian Griffin despite having the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, and things only got worse when they hired Doc Rivers — unsurprisingly.
Now, it seems like they’re ready to make some major moves to bolster their roster ahead of next season.
Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (via NBA Central), the Bucks have made both Pat Connaughton and Bobby Portis available for trade.

He argued that this isn’t the first time they’ve been reported to be available, so nothing was imminent.
Scotto reported that the Bucks were looking forward to making win-now moves, but Portis was the runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year last season, and he’s a championship-caliber role player, so it’s hard to envision the Bucks parting ways with him unless there’s a major return.
The Bucks really missed Jrue Holiday and his elite defense last season, and Khris Middleton might never be close to the player he was before all the injuries.
Also, given Doc Rivers’ long history of postseason meltdowns and shortcomings, it might take more than just revamping the roster for this team to get back to the NBA Finals, let alone actually pursue the second championship of the Giannis era.
