The Milwaukee Bucks recently faced off against the Miami Heat.

It was a surprisingly close matchup between the two sides despite the Heat playing without Jimmy Butler.

In all honesty, the Bucks were the heavy favorites to win the game by a huge margin, but the final score stood at 131-124 after four quarters.

The win wouldn’t have been possible without the clutch efforts of Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton.

Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin was apparently aware of it as he heaped huge praise on Lillard and Middleton, via Bally Sports Wisconsin on Twitter.

“We decided to take him out for a few minutes and play the last five minutes, and he was clutch,” Griffin said.

The Bucks head coach explained the reasoning behind his decision to take out Middleton during the start of the fourth quarter.

It was a huge gamble by Griffin, which ultimately paid for his team in hindsight.

After all, Middleton knocked down some extremely important shots for the Bucks in the clutch.

Apart from Middleton, Lillard also made a clutch three-pointer that ultimately helped the Bucks in winning the game against the Heat.

Following a team effort, the Bucks simply proved too much for a Jimmy Butler-less Heat.

Moreover, the Bucks are now 13-5 in the 2023-24 NBA season.

They are currently the second seed in the Eastern Conference and have the opportunity to overtake the Boston Celtics as the number one seed in the conference in the next few weeks.

After all, they are just one game behind the Celtics, who have a sensational 14-4 record on the season.
