The Milwaukee Bucks made one of the biggest moves in recent NBA history by acquiring Damian Lillard via trade from the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this season.
Considering Lillard was expected to join the Miami Heat throughout the offseason, it was a shocking move by the Bucks.
However, the trade created a partnership between Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
On top of that, the Bucks also have a third star in Khris Middleton, who can be elite on any given day.
Anyway, coming back to Lillard, the veteran superstar took his time to settle in with the Bucks, but he’s currently playing at an elite level.
A perfect example of Lillard’s importance to the Bucks is the fact that he leads the league in clutch points, as revealed via NBACentral on Twitter.
Leaders in clutch points:
Damian Lillard – 65
Mikal Bridges – 51
Stephen Curry – 48
LeBron James – 45
Trae Young – 44
Tyrese Haliburton – 39
Kevin Durant – 38
DeMar DeRozan – 36

As per the above-attached tweet, Lillard is simply in a class of his own, as he is the only player to have more than 60 clutch points to his name.
To be precise, Lillard has scored 65 points in the clutch and the closest player to him is Mikal Bridges with 51 clutch points.
Lillard had a sensational performance in the Bucks’ recent game against the Heat.
The 33-year-old recorded 32 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists for the Bucks in 37 minutes of playing time.
For the season, Lillard is averaging 26.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game for the organization.
If Lillard can continue playing at this level, it will certainly help the Bucks in fulfilling their dream of potentially winning another NBA Championship.
