The Indiana Pacers had an impressive win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.
Their 125-108 victory was an important one for a number of reasons.
It gave the Pacers a win on the road, and according to Bucks star Bobby Portis, it made them “frontrunners.”
“I mean, just quite frankly, they’re frontrunners, bro,” Portis said after the game, according to Eric Nehm via NBACentral.
He continued, “Y’all can just tweet that or whatever it is, bro. When the s— going good, they laughing, clapping all that. When it’s going bad, they not saying nothing.”

It sounds like Portis is a bit disgruntled about the current state of the series.
After a win in Game 1, the Bucks were defeated, 125-108, on Tuesday night.
Portis tried his hardest with his 14 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough.
Damian Lillard also posted a lot with his 34 points, but nothing could slow down the red-hot Pacers on Tuesday.
Now the series is tied 1-1 and the Bucks are still without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who might come back for the next game but that’s unlikely.
So the Bucks will now have to face the Pacers again in Indiana.
With multiple stars performing well for that team, it feels like Portis’ claim of them being the frontrunner is correct.
They have the health and the momentum and that could spell serious trouble for the Bucks.
When the season began, the Bucks were seen as frontrunners to make the NBA Finals again.
They experienced their fair share of problems and disappointments but they remained in the conversation as one of the best teams in the league.
Now Portis claims they are the underdogs and Tuesday’s game might have proven him right.
