The Chicago Bulls came into the 2023-24 NBA regular season with rumors already floating around about the team’s desire to blow up the roster if things were headed in the wrong direction before the NBA trade deadline.

Over the past few years, the Bulls have been rumored to be open to making moves, as they don’t seem to want to be saddled with Zach LaVine’s enormous contract and appear to be content with moving DeMar DeRozan before he leaves the team willingly in NBA free agency next summer.

Even with all this, the season got off to a rough start, with a players-only meeting held after the first game of the season, which obviously isn’t a great sign of things to come in Chicago.

Since that season-opening 20-point loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Bulls have only won two games and seem as mediocre as ever, with little to no hope of turning things around.

According to Vince Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, LaVine is adamant about making it work and thinks the team has no excuse but to make it work since they have three All-Star players, via NBACentral.

“We have three All-Star players. We gotta make this work, from top to bottom. It’s not just the players. We gotta make this click.”

Unfortunately for LaVine, just because there are three players that are All-Star-caliber on the roster doesn’t mean there should or will be results, as Chicago has proven to be nothing but underachievers since his arrival.

At this point, it seems inevitable that the Bulls will blow up the roster, but the question is whether that time is in February or well before.
