The Chicago Bulls didn’t do a lot to improve their roster this offseason.
Aside from landing a defensive-minded point guard in Jevon Carter, they’ll roll pretty much with the same roster next season, and that’s not great news.
The Bulls proved that they weren’t good enough to make the playoffs last season, regardless of their two stars.
They enter this season with higher expectations, especially Zach LaVine, who’s been tangled up in multiple trade rumors throughout the course of the past couple of years.
And judging by the way he’s been shooting the ball, it shouldn’t be shocking to see a couple of teams interested in adding him.

LaVine has always tried to make it loud and clear that he’s way more than just an athlete and a dunker, and he’s improved his long-range shooting vastly from his first days in the league.
There’s no denying that he can put up plenty of points on the scoreboard and dominate from all three levels.
Nonetheless, his numbers haven’t always translated to an impact on winning, and he’s making superstar-level money.
That’s the only thing that could hold the Bulls back in terms of moving on from him, as teams could be hesitant to commit that much money to a guy who may not be suited to be an alpha scorer.
The Bulls could also look to move DeMar DeRozan and/or Nikola Vucevic at some point.
They seem long overdue for a full-scale rebuild, and this might finally be the year that they realize that.
