The Minnesota Twins pulled off an impressive feat on Tuesday night.
They cruised to a 6-2 win over the New York Yankees, which gave them a series win against the Bronx Bombers.
However, there was a little bit more to this win than what meets the eye.
Not only have the Twins won a series against the Yankees, but they also have won the season series.
The Twins had not accomplished this since all the way back in 2001.
Byron Buxton was unaware that it had been so long since the Twins had accomplished this, and when he discovered this during his postgame interview, he had the perfect reaction.

Buxton was indeed six years old the last time the Twins accomplished something like this.
And in a perfect twist of fate, he was a part of the team that ultimately delivered the season series victory over the Yankees.
Buxton also hit a two-run home run against the Yankees on Tuesday.
That home run proved to not only be the difference in the game, but also what lifted the Twins to something they had not accomplished since 2001, when Buxton was just a boy.
And so, some important history was made on Tuesday night, and the speedy outfielder found out in the best possible way, learning the news during his postgame interview and reacting in perfect fashion.
Time certainly has flown since the Twins last accomplished this.
The Twins have also suffered a great deal of postseason heartache against the Yankees, which makes the accomplishment even more special.
