The Los Angeles Rams only needed Matthew Stafford to turn a very good team into a Super Bowl-winning team.
That’s no disrespect to Jared Goff whatsoever, and that trade proved to be the best for his career as well.
Notably, that ring finally gave Stafford the recognition and respect he deserved.
That’s why Houston Texans star C.J. Stroud believes he could’ve won three or four rings if he had been in a different situation.
Talking on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, the Texans star claimed that Stafford was a “a dawg,” adding that he could’ve had many more rings if he had the teams Aaron Rodgers had during his days with the Green Bay Packers (via Ari Meirov).
#Texans QB CJ Stroud says Matthew Stafford would have 3 or 4 rings if he had been in Aaron Rodgers’ shoes all those years in Green Bay.

As bold as that take may have been, he might be right on point.
For starters, that has always been a knock against Rodgers, as a player of his caliber should’ve won more than one championship with the supporting casts he’s had.
On the other hand, Stafford did have Calvin Johnson, but he didn’t have much more help.
The Lions were poorly coached and poorly managed and struggled on defense, yet Stafford was always able to put up big numbers.
His arm talent is insane, and he was making no-look throws way before Patrick Mahomes, not to mention the fact that he always fought through injury and was one of the toughest quarterbacks out there.
The fans rarely gave Stafford his flowers, but his colleagues will always tip their hats to him.
