Matthew Stafford has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the NFL since he entered the league.

While the Detroit Lions weren’t the most successful during his tenure there, a change of scenery helped display Stafford’s brilliance.

It didn’t take long for him to get acclimated to the Los Angeles Rams and their system, winning a Super Bowl in his first year with the team.

Stafford’s instant success with the Rams has put the league on notice, and he has certainly gained the respect and admiration of his peers.

He certainly has the attention of the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, C.J. Stroud.

Stroud recently gave high praise to Stafford on the “Millions Worth of Game” podcast, as shared by DraftKings on Twitter.

“He might be up there with Brady and them,” Stroud said of Stafford, adding, “Stafford, dog, he will beat you with the same thing every time.”

Stafford doesn’t get compared to Tom Brady very often, but Stroud made sure to cover his tracks when making this comparison.

He thinks that it is ultra impressive that Stafford has done the same thing for many years, but opposing teams can’t seem to stop him.

Stafford hasn’t changed his style of play to meet the evolution of new-age quarterbacks, and he was still able to win a Super Bowl in 2021.

With any luck, he can keep this dominance going in 2024, potentially bringing the Rams back to the Super Bowl if the team is finally able to stay healthy.
