The Houston Texans are one of the rising teams in the NFL currently.

They have a loaded cast on offense led by Pro Bowl quarterback C.J. Stroud, who had arguably the best rookie season in NFL history.

Nico Collins recorded close to 1,300 yards and 80 receptions in the best season of his three-year career.

Before going down with a fractured fibula, rookie Tank Dell was on track to go over 1,000 yards.

He had 47 receptions and 709 yards, along with 7 touchdown catches, through 11 games.

Veteran Robert Woods is a former 1,000-yard wide receiver and Super Bowl champion.

They also traded for All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason.

But, one wide receiver has really gained the praise of Stroud.

That is former second-round pick John Metchie III, who overcame leukemia to be back with the team last season.

“He can run some of the best routes I’ve ever seen…He’s making plays. He’s showing out…I’m blessed to be able to work with the brother,” Stroud recently told the Houston media.

If Metchie shows off what he was at Alabama before he went through his battle with cancer, the Texans will be even more dangerous.

He caught 96 passes for 1,142 yards and 8 touchdowns in his final year playing for Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa.

Look for the former national champion to fit right into this wide receiver core as the year moves along.

Last season, he played in 16 games as he eased back into the process of playing football again.

He caught 16 passes for 158 yards in total.
