After three seasons with the Miami Heat, Caleb Martin is moving to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Martin recently agreed to a four-year deal that is worth more than $32 million and is ready to get to work right away.
Speaking to 97.5 The Fanatic, via NBACentral, Martin talked about why he chose to sign with the Sixers over other teams.
“Being a part of that winning culture, and something bigger than yourself is something that draws you in,” Martin said.

The 76ers were very intrigued by the concept of adding Martin, who has been through a number of playoffs and has proven himself as a strong defender.
Because of that, it’s expected that Martin will be a starting power forward for the team, alongside the incoming Paul George as well as Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
Last season, Martin averaged 10 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on 43.1% from the floor.
He is going to leave a big hole in Miami’s roster and they will have to work hard to fill that void.
Meanwhile, the Sixers are excited to see what Martin can do, especially against Eastern Conference foes the Boston Celtics.
Because of his postseason experience, Martin has played against the Celtics many times and could be key to bringing them down during next year’s playoffs.
It’s very clear that Philadelphia has a lot of belief in Martin and expects big things from him.
It has been a transformative offseason for the Sixers and they have committed some trades, with more possibly on the way soon.
They had the biggest deal of the summer with the acquisition of George but could this signing of Martin be just as important?
