The NFL Combine has already started, which has sparked many conversations about some of the best prospects in this rookie class.
As 40-yard dash times are recorded and players’ measurables are jotted down, teams will have access to more and more information, hoping to be as informed as possible before making their draft decisions.
Despite being one of the most highly-touted quarterbacks in recent history, Caleb Williams has made a unique decision of his own at the Combine.
As Jonathan Jones points out, Williams has indicated that he will not partake in any medical exams at this event.

As Jones highlights, Williams has a lot of leverage at the moment.
Because he isn’t revealing any of his medical data, teams will have to take him at his word that he is healthy enough to compete for them in his rookie season.
With rumors surfacing that Williams doesn’t want to be drafted by the Chicago Bears, this could also be a tactic by him and his team, hoping to throw them off the scent.
There is a chance that the Bears, for example, wouldn’t draft Williams if he refuses medical testing, which could allow him to fall to another team on the draft board.
Williams’ decline of this testing is unusual, so there is no historical precedent for what happens to players when they do not agree to this tradition.
It will be interesting to see what fallout Williams experiences due to his decision and if it will affect his draft stock.
