Cam Newton made a lot of friends during his days in the National Football League, but he also had his fair share of detractors.
More than that, every star has to deal with a raging opposing fan base, even if they’re not as outspoken and provocative as Newton could’ve been at times.
With that in mind, the fans asked him to name the ultimate trash-talking fan base, and he had two clear candidates.
In the latest edition of his 4th and 1 show, he claimed that he didn’t even feel safe when he had to visit the Philadelphia Eagles.

He stated that they were some big-time trash-talkers, up to the point where they even did their due diligence on his camp and knew who was a member of his family and whatnot.
Then, he chose the Oakland (now Las Vegas Raiders).
He revealed that it was the first time that he heard an entire crowd cursing at someone.
Last but not least, he went away from the pros to talk about ‘that other school,’ referring to Alabama, citing that they disliked him as much as he disliked them during his days at Auburn.
Even so, Newton wasn’t the kind of player who was fazed by the pressure or the naysayers.
If anything, he fed off that hatred to continue pushing their buttons and poking them every single time he made a big play, got a first down, or beat them.
