Recent news has come to light that FS1 host Skip Bayless will be stepping down from his post on “Undisputed” later this summer.
It is unclear where the longtime sports media personality will be headed next.
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton used the opportunity to take a dig at Bayless after the announcement.
“Skip Bayless is not the main attraction … he’s just a game manager,” Newton said.

This type of response from a former NFL player isn’t that unreasonable given Bayless’ career as a sports media personality.
For the past two decades, the former sportswriter has been on television critiquing athletes for how they’ve played and how they’ve lived.
Newton was one of those athletes, so that is why he has such a strong opinion here.
The Carolina Panthers legend also made it a point to cite how Bayless could not make it work with either Stephen A. Smith at ESPN or Shannon Sharpe at FOX Sports.
Bayless did spend 13 years at ESPN participating in shows such as “Cold Pizza” and “First Take” before leaving in 2016 to join FOX Sports.
The 72-year-old previously spent decades around the country working for prominent publications such as the Miami Herald, the Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News and the Chicago Tribune.
Despite how polarizing Bayless has been as a figure in the sports media world, he has accomplished a lot.
Now, he will look to discover what his next opportunity will be.
