St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright is enjoying his farewell tour in MLB.
Performance-wise, the 2023 season has been a disaster for him since he has a 4-11 record and a horrible 7.95 ERA.
He had been stuck on 198 career wins for months and finally got No. 199 on Tuesday.
Even if he doesn’t get to 200, he can proudly say he had an amazing career that included individual and collective awards (he won two Fall Classics with the Cards), not to mention a solid 3.54 ERA to this date.
We could be watching a glimpse of what might be ahead for him in his final home weekend at Busch Stadium.
“Adam Wainwright’s final home weekend at Busch Stadium will include a live concert featuring … Adam Wainwright. #stlcards announce a post-game Sept. 30 performance of new songs by the right-hander, guitar player, and budding country star. Also, there will be fireworks,” Cardinals insider Derrick Goold tweeted.

What a cool way to send off his career and perhaps a start a new one!
The entire world will be watching that concert and enjoying one of the best curveballs of this generation take that microphone and that guitar and express his feelings through the wonderful world of music.
The 2023 campaign has also been tough on the Cardinals, but at least both parties can now start planning for the future without each other.
Nothing lasts forever, and Wainwright and the Cardinals have enjoyed a beautiful marriage since 2005.
Despite the disappointing numbers in 2023, the right-hander is widely recognized as one of the most influential Cardinals of the new millennium.
