The Arizona Cardinals finished the 2022 NFL season with a 4-13 record, which underwhelmed preseason expectations.
However, the team suffered from significant injuries, including an ACL injury to Kyler Murray.
Once Murray went down, the team wasn’t the same, which sent the Cardinals toward that poor record.
As they look to 2023, the Cardinals have received some promising news about Murray’s health.
Bo Brack, a Cardinals reporter, posted a video of new head coach Jonathan Gannon, who said of Murray: “He’s chomping at the bit,” and, “This guy wants to be out there right now.”

Gannon also added that Murray “made good progression over this past week.”
It should be noted, that a timetable has not been set for Murray’s return.
At this point, fans have not heard anything on that front, and most are anxiously awaiting more details.
Some analysts have projected that he’ll be ready at the beginning of the season while others suggest that Murray could still miss a few weeks of the regular season.
Regardless of when he comes back, it’s clear that Gannon and his staff are pleased with how things are going.
With this positive update in mind, Cardinals fans can take some solace moving forward, especially with the impending NFL Draft.
Due to their 4-13 record last year, the Cardinals have the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft.
They are preparing to add a blue-chip prospect to their roster, and it’s likely someone on the defensive side of the ball.
Just how much can this team improve in 2023, assuming that Murray is healthy to start the season?
