The 2023 NFL season has been rough, to say the least, for the Arizona Cardinals, with the team seeing a lot of drastic changes coming into the season while their star quarterback Kyler Murray was on the mend from offseason knee surgery.

Murray has yet to play a game this season due to his recovery from surgery to fix a torn ACL he suffered last year, and the results have been as expected, with the team winning only once in nine games played thus far.

Even though the 2023 campaign is a lost cause and about as forgettable as it gets, the Cardinals were able to activate Murray this week, which sets him up to play in Week 10 against the visiting Atlanta Falcons.

On Tuesday, the team took to Twitter to officially announce that Murray has been activated.

Obviously, at this point, even if Murray were able to somehow lead this team to a win in every game from here on out, the Cardinals would still fall short of the NFL playoffs.

It’s safe to say at this point in time, the team’s top priority is getting Murray healthy and losing rather than winning football games moving forward in order to improve the team’s draft position, which is projected to be pretty high.

Interestingly enough, however, is the dilemma that Murray will want to prove that he can still be the face of the franchise while the team might be looking at top-tier prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft at the quarterback position like Caleb Williams out of USC.
