The Arizona Cardinals have had a rough few years dealing with injuries to superstar quarterback Kyler Murray and players leaving for other teams or retiring from the game altogether.

The struggling franchise hasn’t been able to put it together during this rough patch, but it showed some signs of promise last season, even though it finished with an ugly record of 4-13.

Murray seems to be back to form and motivated to get his team back on track in 2024, while head coach Jonathan Gannon appears to be the right man for the job in Arizona.

The Cardinals also selected Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, a huge upgrade to the wide receiver position.

Everything seemed to be trending in the right direction for the Cardinals, as they had things to build on moving forward until some bad news surfaced recently, with wide receiver Zay Jones suspended for five games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jones’ suspension is a result of getting arrested in November on a domestic battery charge.

Even though the charge was dropped in March, the NFL is punishing the veteran with the suspension.

Although Jones isn’t coming off a great season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he will be missed by the Cardinals, especially with the addition of Harrison, who will draw attention from opposing defenses and open things up for other pass catchers on the team.
