The NBA has become a global brand.
The game keeps reaching new parts of the world every year, and with multiple international stars taking the league by storm, it has become evident that the U.S. no longer holds the monopoly and supremacy in this sport.
Of course, Team USA could still field the undisputed best team in the international basketball scene, but other nations also have legitimate superstars.
With that in mind, former USA Basketball all-time leading scorer Carmelo Anthony put together his best non-USA starting lineup (via FIBA).

At point guard, he chose Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He’s been a legitimate MVP candidate all season, and the fact that he’s putting up 30+ a game while playing elite defense makes him an easy choice.
Luka Doncic got the nod at shooting guard, which was far from a surprise.
The Dallas Mavericks point forward has been torching opponents since he was a teenager for Real Madrid, and he’s only getting better.
Then, he chose Giannis Antetokounmpo at the three.
The former Defensive Player of the Year is one of the most athletic players in NBA history, and he also plays on both ends.
Kristaps Porzingis was his choice at power forward.
He’s having a bounce-back year, and he could be the Boston Celtics’ X-Factor with his 3-and-D expertise.
Unsurprisingly, he chose Nikola Jokic at center.
Jokic is the greatest passing big man in basketball history, a walking triple-double threat, and a soon-to-be three-time NBA MVP.
