During his NBA career, Camelo Anthony achieved many things but he didn’t win a championship.

He did, however, secure three Olympic gold medals.

When asked by BasketNews, per ClutchPoints, if he would exchange his Olympic medals for a single NBA championship, Anthony was honest.

He said he would not make that exchange because “a medal means something totally different than an NBA championship…It’s the passion. It’s the pride…for a whole country.”

“Would you trade your three Olympic gold medals for one NBA ring?”

Based on that explanation, you can understand why Anthony is happy to hold onto his medals instead of getting a ring.

When he played for Team USA, he wasn’t just representing a single team or city.

Instead, he was playing on behalf of the entire United States and that is something he holds near and dear to his heart.

Anthony had great success in the Olympics and is still one of the best scorers the country has ever seen.

He is also still a very clear supporter of his country and was on hand at the Paris Olympics, rooting for his former teammates and friends.

In fact, he got a lot of attention from the media during the Paris games and was constantly filmed on the sidelines of basketball games.

Anthony is one of the many NBA icons who never won a championship, but that doesn’t seem to bother him because he did such great things for his national team on the world’s biggest stage.

This is obviously one of the biggest and most important accomplishments of his historic career.
