Many people were happy to see Bronny James, son of LeBron, drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers a few months ago.

One of Bronny’s biggest fans happens to be his close friend, Kiyan Anthony.

Kiyan, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, spoke with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, per NBACentral, and talked about Bronny’s drafting.

“It just shows that anybody could do it. I’m coming up next, and I could do it. Definitely happy for him and definitely congratulations to him,” Anthony said.

Anthony is a year younger than Bronny and on his way to the NBA draft next year.

Will he rank higher than Bronny did?

Bronny was chosen as the 55th pick in the draft, chosen in the second round by his father’s team.

Because of his dad and his iconic NBA career, many people speculate that the New York Knicks could try to sign Kiyan when the time comes.

He has been perfecting his game over the last few years and has turned into a genuinely good player.

But no matter what happens, there will be cries of nepotism if Kiyan makes his way into the NBA.

That is exactly what happened with Bronny, with many critics saying he only got a spot in the league because of his father.

Now, Bronny will have to prove himself based solely on his skills and Kiyan will be required to do the same.

His father might help him advance to the draft but once he enters the league, it’s all up to him.

Kiyan is proud to see his friend reach the NBA and based on these comments it sounds like he is on his way to joining him.
