Carson Wentz has been in the NFL for seven seasons, and his career has seen many peaks and valleys.
He was an MVP candidate during the 2017 season, but an ACL tear in Week 14 tarnished his chances at the award.
Wentz was able to regain some of that magic in 2019, but the past three seasons haven’t necessarily yielded the results his teams have expected.
He was released by the Washington Commanders during the offseason and has yet to find a new home.
However, according to Adam Schefter, Wentz has been working with Jon Gruden in Tampa, potentially eyeing a comeback this year.

As Schefter points out, Wentz would like to join an NFL roster for the 2023 season.
Who will take a chance on him remains to be seen.
There are a few teams that could pick up Wentz, depending on how their quarterback situation shapes out.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for example, could be a potential destination for Wentz.
After Tom Brady retired during the offseason, the Buccaneers are left with Kyle Trask, John Wolford, and Baker Mayfield.
While Mayfield has significant experience as an NFL starter, Wolford and Trask haven’t seen much action.
If the team is unimpressed with their current options, they could give Wentz a call, hoping to fill their quarterback void.
However, Wentz might not be willing until after the season begins to join a team.
He’s started 92 career NFL games, and, despite his recent woes, has proven at times that he’s able to effectively lead an offense.
