After a disappointing showing in the NBA playoffs, losing to the New York Knicks in the first round, the Cleveland Cavaliers had some work to do heading into the offseason.

Although the Cavaliers didn’t make a major splash this summer as they did last year by acquiring superstar guard Donovan Mitchell in a blockbuster trade with the Utah Jazz, Cleveland did address a few areas of need with some key additions in free agency.

Arguably the best and biggest move the Cavaliers made was acquiring Max Strus from the Miami Heat to add to the team’s starting lineup alongside Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland, and Mitchell.

However, there were a couple of under-the-radar moves, like bringing in guard Ty Jerome, formerly of the Golden State Warriors.

The Cavaliers gave fans a taste of what they’ll be seeing from newcomer Jerome with a highlight video on their Twitter account.

Obviously, Jerome likely won’t set the world on fire during his stint with the Cavaliers, but he does add some much-needed depth in the backcourt along with the recently re-signed Caris LeVert.

Jerome played 45 games for the Warriors last season, averaging 6.9 points and 3.0 assists per game while shooting an impressive 48.8% from the floor and 38.9% from beyond the arc.

Along with Strus and Jerome, the Cavaliers also brought in Georges Niang to help stretch the floor and make this team that much more dynamic as Cleveland tries to compete with the best of the best in the Eastern Conference in the years to come.
