The Boston Celtics are still feeling good about their recent Finals victory but they made a few changes in the offseason.
One of the few changes they made was adding Lonnie Walker, the sharpshooting 25-year-old who previously played for the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, and Brooklyn Nets.
But will they keep him for long?
According to a report from Shams Charania and Zach Harper, the Celtics could waive Walker after training camp.
Why would they do that just weeks after signing him?

It’s not entirely clear why they would get rid of Walker, but it would perhaps have to do with him not being a great fit on the very special roster Boston has.
They have spent years perfecting their lineup and it’s a major reason why they were able to win a championship a few months ago.
If Walker doesn’t fit in with the plans they have, they could toss him to the side.
Additionally, they may part ways with Walker because of money issues.
The Celtics have been very careful about how they spend their cash for a long time now and they aren’t going to change that.
Walker has a lot of upside he can bring to the team, especially with his youth and shooting.
He produced 9.7 points per game last year for the Nets.
But the Celtics are already the best team in the league so if they don’t feel that he is the perfect fit for the team, they will have no problem letting him go.
Then again, he could really shine in training camp and earn his place with the champions.
