The Boston Celtics are four wins away from winning their 18th championship.
However, things won’t get any easier for them going forward.
The NBA Finals might pose the first actual threat they face in the playoffs, as they will most likely have to square off vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
That’s a storyline within itself, as a matchup with the Mavs means they’re going to play against Kyrie Irving.
With that in mind, the fans made sure to stir the pot and add more fuel to the fire beforehand, cursing out Irivng outside of the TD Garden after beating the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals (Via Celtics Muse).

It’s hard to think of a player the Celtics do not like more than Irving.
Granted, Irving hasn’t exactly done much to appease the hatred.
If anything, he’s embraced it and tried to make it even bigger.
It all started when he promised to re-sign with the team after they traded for him and he didn’t, and he’s had some incidents in his returns to the Garden ever since.
Irving developed a reputation for being a troublemaker since leaving Cleveland, but he’s redeemed himself this season.
Hopefully, if they meet up in the NBA Finals, Celtics fans will keep it classy.
As for Kyrie, everybody knows he’s going to try to poke the bear as well, hopefully just with his game and not with his words.
