Throughout the course of NBA history, we’ve seen some players who usually rise up to the occasion and feed off mockery and criticism.
You never wanted to talk trash to Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, or Kobe Bryant.
Now, Luka Doncic has joined that short list of players.
Apparently, Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck didn’t get the memo, as he was reportedly heckling the Slovenian star during Game 2.
According to a report by Jay King, Grousbeck was trying to bait Doncic into getting T’d up, and he wasn’t having it.

Then, he barked right at him after knocking down a big shot right in front of him.
Following the game, Doncic admitted that he didn’t even know he was the Celtics owner, although it didn’t seem like he cared about it either, so it’s not like he would’ve taken a different approach.
If anything, you better believe he’s keeping receipts and is saving something special for him now that the series will head to Dallas for the next two games.
Doncic and the Mavs have their backs against he wall, and this is where good players turn into actual legends.
This is the first time he has made it to the NBA Finals, and he has to go through these kinds of struggles to keep shaping up his character and molding him into a superstar.
With that in mind, Grousbeck will have no choice but to hope that his antics don’t go back to haunt him and fuel Doncic’s inherent competitive fire.
