The Boston Celtics have had a busy NBA offseason after the team was knocked out of the NBA playoffs by the eighth-seeded Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The storied franchise was determined to make some moves in order to upgrade their roster this summer, and by all accounts, Brad Stevens and company have been able to do just that with what could be one of the best trios in the NBA.
The addition of sharpshooting forward Kristaps Porzingis in the trade with the Washington Wizards could be a game-changing move for the Celtics as the team tries to determine if it can win it all with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the way.
Although that was a substantial move that could really pay off in the years to come, the next move will be crucial to the team’s success, with Brown eligible to sign a supermax contract extension.
According to Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe, contract talks between Brown and the Celtics will resume in Boston after a short hiatus.
With Jaylen Brown now back in Boston from his NBPA retreat in Spain, contract talks will resume next week, according to a league source. #Celtics.

Although Brown is arguably one of the best players in the league right now, he is clearly the No. 2 option behind Tatum and has some issues on the court, especially when it comes to handling the basketball.
Despite being the second option in Boston, the Celtics seem determined to make Brown a very wealthy man this summer, securing his long-term future with the club while keeping the dynamic duo of him and Tatum intact for a little while longer.
