The Boston Celtics are a juggernaut of a team.
They have the most stacked roster in the game, and GM Brad Stevens deserves plenty of credit for the roster moves he made to make them even better before the start of the season.
That’s why it’s not unusual to see them favored in most games.
As a matter of fact, Game 3 of the NBA Finals will be just the fourth time in their last 99 games that they’re not favored (via Yahoo Sports).

Per BetMGM, the Celtics will be 1.5-point underdogs vs. the Dallas Mavericks.
Being favored in 95 out of 99 games is wild, and it speaks volumes not only about this team’s dominance but also about their talent.
It also means that there are absolutely no excuses or margin for error for this team anymore.
The Celtics have been in a championship-or-bust mindset for years now, and it just seems like this title was theirs to lose.
The Dallas Mavericks will play like a team that has everything on the line after falling to a 0-2 hole in their trip to Boston, and that could make them quite dangerous.
Joe Mazzulla’s team has a history of taking their foot off the gas and allowing opposing teams to get the best of them in games they should’ve won, and that’s something they simply cannot afford at this point in the season.
It’s time to prove why they’ve been so overwhelmingly favored more often than not, even if they’re not favored this time around.
