The NFL offseason is in full swing, and the teams that are not in the Super Bowl are preparing for 2024.
We have seen numerous teams hire new head coaches and that means they need new coaching staffs.
One team that hired their interim head coach as their head coach was the Las Vegas Raiders.
They removed the interim tag from Antonio Pierce and he will take over the reins for the 2024 season.
As Pierce puts his staff together, he made one intriguing hire.
As shared by @mikeaveli24 on Twitter, the Raiders have hired former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson as a member of the organization.

“Yes, I got a job with the #Raiders . Not as a Staff Member but as a member of the Organization.. I’m not sure what it is exactly yet. But I will be apart of the team and that’s an Amazing thing.”

Johnson has been retired from the game for a while but he still keeps up with the NFL.
He has a podcast that talks about what goes on around the league and the Raiders think his knowledge will help their team.
It appears Johnson was not hired as a coach but rather as an advisor.
Pierce and Johnson are both former players, so it makes sense that Pierce respects him enough to hire him.
It will be interesting to see how this dynamic works during the season.
It would make sense that Johnson was hired in some capacity to coach the receivers, as that is the position he knows best.
There are still a lot of things to uncover about this hire.
But, it should bring more intrigue to Las Vegas next season.
The Raiders have their work cut out for them next year, as they have many more questions than answers surrounding their team heading into 2024.
