The Houston Texans are the hot topic this week after making the massive recent move of landing Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, giving young quarterback C.J. Stroud another huge weapon to work with.

Former NFL greats Chad Johnson and Shannon Sharpe got into a heated discussion on a recent episode of “Nightcap,” where they discussed the trade and had a major disagreement.

Sharpe said the Texans are a “ready-made team,” while Johnson disagreed and said they got lucky last year when they made the playoffs.

Johnson added that fans should watch how Josh Allen’s numbers become a struggle without Diggs in Buffalo and that the Kansas City Chiefs would be considered a ready-made team, not the Texans or Bills.

It’s unclear what “ready-made” means in this context, but Sharpe appeared to be arguing that both situations were ideal for a star receiver to walk into, put up big numbers, and compete for a championship.

Diggs joins a wide receiver room already full of incredible young talent in Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and John Metchie III, and leaves behind a Bills team devoid of much talent at WR at all after also losing Gabe Davis in free agency.

Johnson and Sharpe are always good for a friendly heated debate, and that’s all this was.

It’s hard to side with Johnson on this one, as the Texans have all the makings of being next up in the AFC, with a young exciting head coach, a stud young quarterback, a brick wall at left tackle, and young talent all over the defense.
