The Cincinnati Bengals are in a bit of a tough spot with their wide receivers right now.

On the one hand, they haven’t been able to strike a deal with Tee Higgins, and chances are they won’t be able to keep him beyond this season.

On the other hand, Ja’Marr Chase has decided to hold out despite having two years left in his contract.

The start of the season is just around the corner, and the Bengals must sort things out immediately.

With that in mind, Adam Schefter of ESPN asked Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson his thoughts on the matter, and the former Bengals star shared his predictions.

For starters, he claimed that Higgins would unfortunately walk away at the end of the season, as the Bengals won’t be able to pay him as much as he deserves, so he’ll have no choice but to play this season under the franchise tag.

As for Chase, Johnson believes a deal could take place as soon as this week, as Joe Burrow might not be happy about his No. 1 target missing training camp.

Truth be told, this is a dangerous precedent.

Having players threatening to hold out with one year left on their contracts is bad enough. But for players to do it with two years left is not a good look.

Chase is a star, but he hasn’t even been around long enough to do this.

Teams will have to draw a line at some point, and if players want to get a new contract just because someone else got one, they may decide not to play ball and just let them lose the money they would’ve made that season.
