Tom Brady will be making his debut in the booth this upcoming season as he begins doing color commentary for NFL games on FOX, and his first game will be the Dallas Cowboys Vs. Cleveland Browns in Week 1.

Everyone seems to be excited about what Brady will bring to the booth, and that includes former wide receiver Chad Johnson.

Johnson discussed Brady’s broadcasting career with Shannon Sharpe on their recent episode of Nightcap, and Johnson is looking forward to hearing what Brady has to say, as he loved when Tony Romo would call out plays before they happened and said “I’m sure he’s going to do a phenomenal job.”

Johnson also highlighted that Brady is going to take the “meat and potatoes” of the available broadcasting money, as he looks to be stepping right into the primary slot on FOX, a space once occupied by former tight end Greg Olsen, who by most accounts has done a fantastic job over the last few years.

Brady won’t be alone in his transition from the gridiron to the booth this season, as fellow former QB Matt Ryan will be joining The NFL Today on CBS, and newly-retired center Jason Kelce will be joining Monday Night Countdown on ESPN.

Brady has big shoes to fill, as Greg Olsen and Tony Romo have set the bar high in recent years, and many fans agree with Johnson and loved how Romo would educate them on the game and predict what was going to happen.
