Back in 2003, LeBron James entered the NBA with plenty of weight on his shoulders and sky-high expectations.
Fast forward to today, and it’s more than safe to say that he’s exceeded them.
Despite never being considered a true scorer, he holds the record for the most points in NBA history, and it’s not particularly close.
That’s why, ever since he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, people have debated whether someone could pass him at some point.
Recently, Kevin Garnett claimed that Luka Doncic is the only active player who could do so, and the numbers back it up.
However, when discussing that, NFL legends Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson respectfully disagreed (via Nightcap).

Even though Doncic is ahead of LeBron’s pace at the same age, he might not play long enough to get past LeBron.
Per Sharpe, Doncic’s questionable habits for a professional athlete, won’t allow him to be in the league for as many years as James.
As for Johnson, he just doesn’t see Luka being able to match LeBron’s longevity.
James has been one of the most — if not the most — durable athletes we’ve ever seen.
His work ethic is second to none, and the way he’s taken care of his body has allowed him to play at the highest level for more than two decades, and he still has at least a couple of years left in the tank.
Doncic definitely has the potential to be the all-time leading scorer.
Whether he’ll do it is another story.
