The Los Angeles Chargers have made a big decision on one of their franchise cornerstones.

Former All-Pro center Corey Linsley has been released by the team.

The belief around the league is that 32-year-old is expected to retire after a strong decade in the league playing for both the Green Bay Packers and the Chargers, per Ari Meirov.

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh is perhaps looking to make his roster a little younger.

Linsley was one of the more underrated offensive lineman in the league for the last decade.

The former All-Big Ten performer out of Ohio State was drafted by the Packers back in 2014 with pick No. 161 overall in the fifth round.

Over the next seven seasons, he would go on to be an integral part of the operation with Aaron Rodgers and Co.

He started all 99 games that he played in during his time in Wisconsin.

After the 2020 season came to a close, Green Bay decided not to re-sign their First-team All-Pro center in favor of giving their Pro Bowl running back in Aaron Jones a new deal.

Linsley then went on to sign a five-year, $62.5 million deal with the Chargers.

He’d go on to make Second-team All-Pro while snapping the ball to star quarterback Justin Herbert.

After three seasons with the team, they have decided to release him.
