The Chargers may have something in their second-round pick out of Georgia in wide receiver Ladd McConkey.
According to SCOUTD, McConkey has had an impressive offseason and is set up to be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver.
Quarterback Justin Herbert recently said that “it’s like he’s been a four-or five-year vet”.
The Pro Bowl quarterback is continuously looking to get him the ball.

McConkey wasn’t anything special coming out of the draft.
His best season at Georgia saw him catch 58 passes for 762 yards and 7 touchdowns (2022).
But, he was a key cog in the wheel on offense for Kirby Smart and Co.
If he isn’t on the roster, who knows if Georgia wins multiple national titles?
Perhaps he was Georgia’s Julian Edelman or Danny Amendola, to use a Patriots reference or two.
Now, he is looking to be a clutch wide receiver for Herbert and Harbaugh out in Hollywood.
After the front office made their decision to move on from franchise legend Keenan Allen and big-play threat Mike Williams, they needed to address the receiver position this offseason.
In doing so, they drafted McConkey, Derius Davis Jr. and Brenden Rice, the son of Jerry Rice.
They also added former Pro Bowl wide receiver D.J. Chark.
So, this is mostly a young and inexperienced group that Justin Herbert will be throwing to.
That is why it will be on a player like McConkey to step up and make plays.
The more and more that he steps up, the more Herbert will continue to look to feed him the ball.
