Sometimes, it pays to look at historical performances, especially regarding betting.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the most successful NFL teams since he came into the league.
Despite their success over the past several years, sportsbooks had them as underdogs in their final three playoff games, including the Super Bowl.
This caused many bettors to get cold on them, including Charles Barkley, as he recently revealed on the NBA on TNT.
In a video shared by the Action Network, Barkley admitted that he placed three bets against Mahomes and the Chiefs in this year’s postseason, losing all of them.

Barkley seemed to learn his lesson.
While Mahomes and the Chiefs didn’t put their best foot forward in the regular season this year, they made it count in the playoffs.
With this in mind, bettors like Barkley might want to take a similar approach to Mahomes as they did with Tom Brady.
Brady tended to make people pay in the big games, and Mahomes is proving to be a similar player in that respect.
Mahomes and the Chiefs have now won two Super Bowls in a row.
Despite not being at their best for the entire year, they figured out how to take home the Lombardi Trophy again, making them a team to watch for the 2024 season.
Teams in both the AFC and NFC have tried to slow them down, but when it comes down to it, Mahomes has proven to come out on top, time and time again.
