The 2024 Summer Olympics are well underway in Paris.
Many events have already wrapped up, and this highly-anticipated event is already starting to come to a close.
For some sports, however, they still have a few days to go.
Men’s basketball, for instance, still has some work to do.
Team USA has made it to the quarterfinals of the Olympics, and is slated to take on Brazil on August 6th.
They had a few ups and downs leading up to the games, but after winning their first three games, they are poised and ready to win the gold.
With a team full of All-Stars and future Hall of Famers, it seems like they should have no problem achieving this feat, as Charles Barkley laid out in a recent appearance on “Podcast P with Paul George.”
In fact, if Team USA doesn’t win, Barkley said “they shouldn’t be allowed back in the country.”

While this statement is, of course, hyperbolic, it does represent the level of expectation that has been placed upon Team USA.
This roster is made up of many of the best players in the NBA, including LeBron James, Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards, and Kevin Durant.
Compared to other countries, Team USA has the deepest roster, which, on paper, should give them a marked edge.
International competition can sometimes surprise people, however, so the United States will need to ensure to keep their foot on the gas if they want any chance of winning gold.
